Subject: Something More Interesting

Location: WA
I was reading a couple of the threads on here and nothing too interesting in the Teen department. So instead of just asking if there is anyone on here and just saying 'Hi!', cuz apparently there are teens on here, not a whole lot but enough. So I want to start some real conversations on here.

We all have something in common, we all love and work with horses. So I wanna hear about, what sort of competions, shows, and events you compete in? What do you enjoy watching? And what neat, funny, horribble, or outstanding experiences you have had with your horse or horses. Also, be free to tell me about your favorite horse, his/her name, age and profession.

Can't wait to see what you guys have to say!
Have a great day and God bless!
But before I go I would like to be the first to begin to get the ball rolling...

I'm Samie Jo. I'm currently a senior at KHS in WA. I high school rodeo competing in cutting, team roping, and break-away. I loving cutting! I work for a trainer and friend of mine Teddy Johnson in Gainesville, TX during the summmers. He has taught me pretty much all I know about cow cutting. I couldn't of asked for a better teacher. I have been around horses al my life. My mom was a rodeo queen, my dad is a saddle bronc rider, rancher, and shoer, my older brother is also just like his dad sharing the same professions, my lil sisters aren't real big in the horse world, but they love riding as well. Me, I love ropeing and cutting, but I have also barrel raced, pole bended, goat tied, and all the other jr rodeo events. I enjoy helping out on the ranch, doctoring cattle and horses, branding, herding, sorting, and all the other things that are needed to be done to have a well working ranch. Horses are my life! They are my income, love, and sometimes hate. It's not always sunshine and rainbows. They have also given me some injuries and they give themselves injuries too, giving me vet bills. But I love them and I'm  willing to endure it all for them. My family has a lot of horses. At one point we had over 120. Now we are down to about 40 do to moving and stuff. Personaly, I use to have a few as well, but I'm down to 4 now. I sold my favorite a year ago. He was an 03 stallion 'Cheetahs Boy'. I competed at the 06 NCHA futurity on him and won the IHSRA dis 8 on him in 08. But now I have a 3yr old filly that I started last fall, my 7yr gelding rope horse, 5yr old ranch horse, and 1yr old filly by my stud Cheetah and out of one of my mother's mares.

Im pretty sure no one ever stays on here cuz its so boring no one talks! Its more exciting on BHW!

But im Rachel, 16, from Wisconsin! I team rope, break away and barrel race. Only got one barrel horse at the moment and i borrow a rope horse for the jackpots. I used to high school rodeo when i had my own rope horse but now we cant really afford rodeo'n. I work on a ranch out here and work horses and stuff. Favorite part would be roping the fresh calves and flanking and tying them with the guys lol Its always fun showing them up! Im the only one in the family that rides anymore so i work to pay for my horses and vet and farrier. Its hard but worth it!!! Favorite horse ive ever been on is A horse Stitch he was blind in one eye and was a heading horse and breakaway horse but he was nice to rope off. I roped off him last year now im roping off his full brother. I love my barrel horse Nick right now but its nice to ride some sane rope horses once in a while instead of my insane barrel horse!
